Rooibos tea

If you suffer from seasonal allergies, try Rooibos tea. Rooibos, sometimes called “red tea,” comes from a bush in South Africa. Rooibos is a delicious herbal tea full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. More importantly, it also contains two bioflavonoids—Rutin and Quercetin—that can be almost magical for allergy sufferers.

Bioflavonoids and Allergies

Bioflavonoids, Rutin and Quercetin, interfere with your body’s histamine which causes the stuffiness and stomach issues associated with allergies. If you suffer from food allergies and/or the more traditional respiratory allergies, consuming these particular bioflavonoids can help reduce inflammation and allergy symptoms. Rooibos teas provide a natural source of these bioflavonoids. Rooibos teas are also caffeine-free.  Drink them morning right up to bedtime to assist with relief from a stuffy, runny nose or even stomach nausea.
