Messages today

I was helping with housekeeping and laundry at an assisted living today and met some wonderful people.  Met a woman who has her cruise boat in Washington and just loves it.  She is a nurse also but got so busy that had to quit that.  She was visting her mom and I am thankful to have met her.  I had told her about my dream about having my tea retreat home and enjoying tea.  She said you should do it if that is what you feel you are led to do.  Then I was talking to a man and he talked about North Dakota where he was from and now lives in assisted living home.  He said North Dakota and Texas are the richest states right now.  HMMM.  I have wanted to start a tea retreat in Texas not because it is rich but feel God leading me back there.  Still praying.
Now as I sit here reading my book Walking with the God who cares  I am reading about how we are to do our work, ministry for Him and Him alone.  We are to go over and above every assistment the Lord gives us.  Your  weariness in ministry should never cause you to stop running the race,  Living for the audience of one means you carry out your ministry "in the Lord."  Matt. 25:40  iI tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.  A. W. Tozer wrote,
If you are living only to buy and sell and get gain, that is not enough. If you are living only to sleep and work, that is not enough.  If you are living only to prosper and marry and raise a family, that is not enough. IF you live only to get old and die, and never find forgiveness and the daily sense of God's presence in your life, you have missed God's great purpose for you....Build that invisible altar within.  Let the Spirit of God produce the living, cleansing flame that marks your devotion to Christ, our Lord.
Ney Bailey, from Campus Crusade for Christ, said  "You be responsible for the depth of your ministry , and let God be responsible for the breadth of the ministry."

God bless you this weekend and enjoy that cup of tea in God's word.

A Friend

I was helping at an assisted living the other day and heard this man who always has his door open and sits in his chair and talks, saying I love you Jesus.  I want to come home Jesus.  Precious Jesus.  Wow, what such a great thing to hear.  I am not sure why God still has him on this earth but I know he sure touched my heart that day.  God's presence is in that place everywhere and such a wonderful thing to see.  I pray that this person will touch others and I pray that I will have an opportunity to say to this man, Jesus so loves you!
Blessings for your day.

Bible and Tea

I have been reading this book Walking with the God Who Cares and today I just loved the message.  It talked about hope- Holding On with Patient Expectation.  That is something I keep being reminded of these days.  Talking with a great sister-in-law today who is walking with the Lord and she helped me to remember God is with us.  Jesus loves us.  We never waste time when we spend it in the Bible.  How true!  I enjoy reading His word with a cup of tea.  So relaxing and so much love and care.
My realtor sent an encouragement today and wanted to share-
A dream, an idea, a vision of greatness - all can be shattered by a word or two from a total stranger. If you are the one with a dream, keep it to yourself as you methodically achieve all that you desire. If it's another who tells you theirs - encourage them to nurture it to fruition. Remember Thoreau's thoughts on this: "If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."
God has a plan for each one of us and if we allow him to do His work in us He will do amazing things.   Immerse yourself in God's word and focus on claiming His promises.  It is so worth every minute of spending time with Him.  Leave your Christian radio station on all the time.  I am one that loves songs about Jesus.  Such a reminder how much He loves each one of us and wants the best for us all.
Enjoy your next cup of tea with Him right beside you.
I pray that God will show His presence to you today.  Reach out to somebody who is in need.  I believe we are to minister in whatever we do.  Share His love and word today with somebody that may not know Him.
God's blessings for your day today.  Love you and thanks for stopping by.
Remember to be in pray Aug.6 for our country, leaders, people.  From 10-3 CT there will be a fast and prayer in Houston Texas at the Reliant Stadium.  Be in prayer.

10 thoughts on Whole Living

This came from my October issue of Whole Living by Terri Trespicio

If you can successfully change one bad habit, your're likely to change another.
Don't assume you know what someone needs you to do. Ask.
Sometimes all it takes to get through a tough time is a single , powerful word.
Be courageous enough to listen for the truth
When you shine a light on a negative thought , it loses its power-
When you can't shut out illness entirely, you can make your body a place where health thrives.
Do something that makes you sweat
Embrace frayed edges, worn pages, and laugh lines. True beauty lies in imperfection
Reimnd a loved one THAT SHE'S NOT ALONE
Learning to love requires as much openness as it does strength.

With that enjoy your 2-3 cups of tea today.
